[Withdrawn] Zamoo - priest - casual application

Post  zamoo on Tue Sep 01 2009, 13:14

Hello everyone!
I spoken with Rhiannon and i read also on forum that you dont need priests atm, but i thought i should leave an application here (as casual), just in case:D
Ty in advance for making time to read this.

Name(optional): Florin
Age: 36

In-game name: Zamoo
Class and spec: priest holy/shadow atm, but can change to holy/disc (i miss pvp a lot:D)
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Anachronos&n=Zamoo

What framerate do you generally play at in 25 man raids? Is your PC and internet connection reliable? What's your average latency to the game servers during evenings? FPS worst 25-30, average 60-70, no latency.

Why are you applying to Bloodpack? raids, fun, perfect time schedule for raids, even i apply as casual i hope i can help raids sometimes:D

Have you played with anyone in Bloodpack before, who might vouch for you? donno spoke a few times with Razvann, but not sure he can vouch for me tho.

What is your current guild and why are you planning to leave? well sadly Lazybones is going down slowly but sure, cause of the game leaving of Illoman, the RL/MT/"soul of guild".

What previous guilds have you been in? Dark Secrets

If this is a cross-realm application, should you be accepted for trial, how soon can you transfer here? na

Do you currently have any pending application with any other guild? If yes, who with? no

Do you have any high level alt characters? Have you raided with them before? yes, Mortador raided in TBC, Ennya raided in TBC (was in Cold Logic for around 2-3 months, but really didnt feel my home is there), Zamolxis (lvl 70 priest atm - ally side - raided with it in Vanilla, cleared allmost all content (only Saph and Kell not dead at that time) with no. 1 guild on Azjol-Nerub Semper Fidelis - left it cause of birth of my second daughter)

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of the game? rally (have 2 rally cars and like to go Hill Climbing or rally, but this year wasnt so good financially for me, so took a break).

Raiding

What is your past raiding experience in the game to date? Please only include content that you cleared at the appropriate level cap - we're not interested if you cleared AQ 40 last week.

Classic: including Naxx without Saphiron and Kellthuzad (thats on my ally priest - was on azjol nerub realm at that moment)
Molten Core - cleared
Onyxia - cleared
Blackwing Lair - cleared
Ahn'Qiraj - cleared both

The Burning Crusade:
Karazhan, Zul'Aman, Gruul's Lair & Magtheridon - cleared on Mortador (not last boss in Zul'Aman)
Serpentshrine Cavern & The Eye - Cleread on mage Ennya
Mount Hyjal, Black Temple & Sunwell - cleared on mage Ennya (no Sunwell at all)

Wrath of the Lich King:
Normal Raids - entering with Dark Secrets directly in 25 men
Heroic Raids - cleared all atm with Lazybones

Please list any achievements from a raid environment that you have and feel we should know about. i think that can be easily see on armory now, but im not an achiev fan, i like to be part of those encounters, but im not showing off with them.

Are you available to make our raid times? If there is a night when you can attend some times a month, but not always, please state so.
Thursday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]
Friday = 19:30-23:30 [Y]
Sunday = 19:30-22:30 [Y] not always (family/wife reputation in weekends:D)
Monday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]
Tuesday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]

Do you use these following addons?
Deadly Boss Mods / Bigwigs - yes
Omen - yes
DoTimer or some other sort of spelltimers - no need as healer
Grid - yes (but xperl not grid)
Any other addons which you feel should be mentioned? decursive, visual heal (shows incoming heal on target - helps a lot for over healing/mana management), ekinspect (very usefull for pugs lol), facemelter (for shadow), recount, and lots other that dont concern raiding.

If possible, please try to provide a screenshot of your UI in a raiding setting. If you aren't able to get one from inside a raid, a screenshot of it from a battleground will suffice. not a UI specialist, i have normal UI with all healing grid on, decursive and thats it basicly.

With blizzard adding optional "hard-modes" to future encounters, we're intending to beat the more difficult version of each fight, not just the basic version. Are you prepared to spend the time re-learning encounters to beat them in their hardest incarnations? yes

Are you prepared to sit out if an encounter requires a certain raid composition for which you are not ideal? yes

How do you fill your playing time when not raiding? making cash with dailys, improve gear (if there are any improvements outside raids:D), play alts.

Raiding's not cheap. Flasks, potions, buff food, and of course repairs all cost money and time, and so does keeping your gear gemmed and chanted properly. Are you able to support your raiding expenses? What consumables do you typically use? - yes i have all profesions lvled up for all these professions on diferent characters. use Flask of Frost wyrm (but have in bags Flask of Pure Mojo for some encounters) and usually use feast food buff from guild, but have my own simple food also.

Why have you chosen your particular spec/class? How familiar are you with your class' other specs? Would you be willing to respec if the raid required it? Do you have dual-spec? i have been holy since begining 4 and 1/2 years ago on my ally priest (i even lvled that holy, cause didnt know much at that time about it) and i love this spec, read about it al time (elitistjerks = bible:D)
i have shadow spec as dual, played a lot in Wotlk as shadow, now only ocasionally even i have gear for it, hit caped etc. Yes ill respec Disc if needed as i miss very much the pvp with my priest.

Do you use external resources (such as 3rd party forums, spreadsheets, simulations) to research your class and spec? Give examples if so. elitistjerks mainly, wowhead, bosskillers, mmochampion

What professions have you chosen on your raiding character? How do they benefit you in raids? i lvled this char in tbc and used tailoring and enchanting. tailorind was good at that moment, now only provide cloak enchant and cheaper pants one, enchanting is very usefull cause i have always mats for my enchants, rarely ask bank to provide + enchants on rings.

Please provide a recent combat log parse (e.g. WWS, WMO, WoL) of your character in a raid environment if you have access to one. not have one

Any additional things you'd like to add? even i love to raid mostly, im willing to join u as casual and in time to show u that i can be an asset to guild, im almost all days in game, even weekends some hours/day. i always wanted to find a "home" in wow and stay in there forever, but had bad luck since now.

Very gratefull to you for making time to read this.
Cheers and cya in game whatever will be your answer:D

Hi from a former fellow Azjol-Nerubian Smile

I raided in Dark Crusaders as Goblette (druid) and back then there was a "healthy" rivalry between the guilds progression.

Tbh i dont remember you from alli side from vanilla, but I do know that Semper Fidelis was a good guild Smile

Just wanted to say GL with the app.

Thanks for your application. We're going to discuss it, but one thing I'd like to make clear to you - as I mentioned last night, currently our priest situation is rather packed, with three regular raiding healing priests (all with dual specs) and two regular shadow priests. So if you were to join, the chances of you getting much raid time at all are rather slim. I just want to reiterate that, so you can be sure whether you want to join and probably not get many raids, rather than seeking somewhere else where you could get a more regular raid spot.
