Name: Steve

Age: 22

In-game name: Angrypaladin
Class and spec: Paladin/Retribution
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Anachronos&cn=Angrypaladin (my apologise if it displays pvp gear, i tend to do a lot of bgs, wg etc after all, who doesnt enjoy killing nightelves? Twisted Evil )

Are you the original owner of the account/character you're applying with? I certainly am.

Why are you applying to Bloodpack? General purposes of wanting to do some raiding be it casual or alt runs and to socialize as i'd like to meet new people.

Have you played with anyone in Bloodpack before, who might vouch for you? Me and Sythe raided together back in Pew Pew Bunnies. Very nice chap to chat to i think.

Isardian is another member i know. A friend of my gf originally but we chat and do hcs together.

What is your current guild and why are you planning to leave? Fury of the Shadow is my present guild. The reason i wish to leave is due to the guild being dead. I've been the only member online in the past fortnight.

What previous guilds have you been in? Physical Risk, Pew Pew Bunnies, Legion, Limit Break, Fate.

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of the game? My main hobbies are Art and Role play games been drawing for about 2 years. Role playing for about 9 years. Quite the Anime and manga fan, my favourite producer for this kinda of content is Hayao Miyazaki who made Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in The Sky and many many more mind blowing movies.

Thank you for taking the time to read my application and i hope to hear from you soon.

What is your past raiding experience in the game to date? Please only include content that you cleared at the appropriate level cap - we're not interested if you cleared AQ 40 last week.

Classic:
The Burning Crusade:
Karazhan, Zul'Aman, Gruul's Lair & Magtheridon - Cleared kara too many times to count. Gruuls once.

Wrath of the Lich King (excluding commonly pugged content):

Naxxramas 25 - cleared all but KT
Ulduar 10 - Reached up to Thorim
Ulduar 25 - Reached up to Council
ToC 10 normal - Cleared
ToC 25 normal - Cleared
ICC 10 normal - Downed 1st 4 bosses on alliance main.

Please list any achievements from a raid environment that you have and feel we should know about.

Are you available to make our raid times? If there is a night when you can attend some times a month, but not always, please state so.
Thursday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]
Friday = 19:30-23:30 [Y]
Sunday = 19:30-22:30 [N]
Monday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]
Tuesday = 19:30-22:30 [Y]

Do you use these following addons?
Deadly Boss Mods / Bigwigs / DXE - I use DBM
Omen - yes
DoTimer or some other sort of spelltimers - I dont at present no
Grid - I dont at present.
Any other addons which you feel should be mentioned?
No other addons of major importance but i do use Atlas loot and recount. Im more than happy to download and use addons recommended to comply with raiding in your raid teams.

If possible, please try to provide a screenshot of your UI in a raiding setting.
https://2img.net/h/i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/lordbarry/Whacky1stplace.jpg This is the best one i have i sorry to say.

Are you prepared to sit out if an encounter requires a certain raid composition for which you are not ideal?
Im more than happy to cooperate with guild decisions.

How do you fill your playing time when not raiding?
pvp, a few dailieson either my horde or alliance main. Selling things from bank.

Raiding's not cheap. Flasks, potions, buff food, and of course repairs all cost money and time, and so does keeping your gear gemmed and chanted properly. Are you able to support your raiding expenses? What consumables do you typically use? My professions are enchanting and jewelcrafting. I make the best and therefore i use the best. I will not use gear unless it is perfectly gemmed and enchanted to my requirements.

Why have you chosen your particular spec/class? How familiar are you with your class' other specs? Would you be willing to respec if the raid required it? Do you have dual-spec?

Im quite familiar with the paladin class presently from using this character since tbc. Retribution works well with my preference to dpsing which is to smack the biggest thing with the biggest weapon but in the main part i genuinly just enjoy plate wearers.

I do have duel spec. both specs are retribution however. one for pve and one for pvp.

I used to tank back in Tbc (solo tanked Kara back then once with badge gear) Though i'd like to avoid using other specs, im willing to comply if it benefits everyone.

What is the general gearing strategy you follow for your class? Please be as specific as possible. barring a 10 stats gem with a meta gem, strength, strength and more strength.

Please give a brief description of how you go about doing your job in a raid. What's your DPS cycle/priority system if you're a DPS? What spells do you use in what situations as a healer? How do you go about maximising threat whilst minimising incoming damage, as a tank? What more is there to tanking than those two aspects? Use a particular boss fight as an example if it will make it easier to talk about.

For Dpsing, i have a single rotation that adds a few additional abilities to itself depending on situation.

The rotation is as follows
Hand of Salvation->Avenging Wrath (On boss/miniboss encounters)-> Judgement->Crusader Strike->Divinestorm->judgement (Exorcism is added when art of war procs)

When/if problems occur i do have divine sacrifice available which i use with bubble to reduce raid damage if required.

Do you use external resources (such as 3rd party forums, spreadsheets, simulations) to research your class and spec? Give examples, links, and commentary if so. In the main part no, I tend to use advice from peers mostly. But i do research into things on the wow forums and a few others for class tactics. Boss tactics are researched through tankspot in the main part.

How do the professions you've chosen benefit you in raids? Enchanting - I can disenchant items for the guild as well as enchant. Provide materials for members.

Jewelcrafting - I can make gems for myself and others, mostly red epic gems presently but i do the daily all the time so getting new recipes isnt too difficult. So i can cut gems.

Any additional things you'd like to add?
Overall, although i'd enjoy raid spot, i'm mostly interested in a social spot. Ret paladins are a much unneeded spec i find nowadays and so im mostly looking for a friendly environment to meet new people in. This doesnt mean im not willing raid however, it means im aware that raid spots are severely limited to melee dps and that im available if you wish for me to fill it.

Haithar, just a bit of advice inc.

Stacking strength isn't always the way to go, even more so with 2p T9 due to RV crits. You want to be able to socket 10str10crit yellows in items with a 4str or higher bonus when available. And as such, your crit is pretty low due to this. Attack power isn't always everything Smile

Your hit is quite absurd, do you really not have a better trinket option for Pyrite Infuser? Your expertise is also a bit low, only on 18 even with the seal glyph can gimp you a fair bit.

Now, your specs. When I read you had Divine Sacrifice I figured you were just using the outdated spec from 3.3. I was wrong, you don't have Seal of Command or Pursuit of Justice, the question I put forth to you is; Why?! Seal of Command is obscenely overpowered for adds encounters or even for general use in heroics etc. Also, Pursuit of Justice is pretty important where movement is involed, and many encounters in WotLK are heavily movement based. I'd somewhat understand if you had Tuskarr's Vitality on your boots, but you don't. I'd suggest (if you want to do some kind of raiding) you use this spec. Glyph of Consecration is considered a must have glyph for rets, it gives us spare GCDs for other abilities and makes our rotation a little easier to manage, and also reduces mana usage by a fair amount. It's meant to be worth 180 mp5 or something if I remember reading correctly. You use it over exorcism at all times if you don't have 26 exp to cover Glyph of SoV. Oh and here's a better PvP spec if you're interested Wink

By the way, looking at your screenshot (I'm not amazingly familiar with the standard UI) but do you click?

I'm, guessing you're applying as a social due to -

But either way, good luck with your app.

Thanks for the reply.

I have been thinking about my specs and yes, i do agree with your suggestions. I havent really updated it much due to the lack of raiding part as there was no general reason to do so.

I do have a better trinket than my infuser but sadly it's the emblem one from triumphs. Mark of Supremacy. I just use the infuser for the proc at present.

Current records for my dps in heroics is about 5.4k (approx) on bosses about 6.2k (approx) for raids.

Thanks for the tips Smile

Thanks for the application, but I'm afraid we're not open for social applications and your level of experience and gear is not suitable for the content we're currently raiding, nor are we in need of another ret paladin. Best of luck finding a guild that suits your needs.
