Name(optional): brendan
Age: 30

In-game name: beerform
Class and spec: druid resto (feral o/s)
Armory link: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Anachronos&n=Beerform

What framerate do you generally play at in 25 man raids? Is your PC and internet connection reliable? What's your average latency to the game servers during evenings?

yup..got 8mb broadband connecion. pretty stable (most of the time) usually around 30-60 ms all of the time (even at nights when servers are busy) usually around 40 fps + in full raid and aoe stuff goin off (got geforce 9500gt gfx card that holds up pretty well)

Why are you applying to Bloodpack? re rolled horde after 3 years of ally about a month and half ago. would like to be in a guild who are at the same stage as what i was raiding on my pala tank before i switched sides.

Have you played with anyone in Bloodpack before, who might vouch for you? i never really paid attention to who's in random pugs i've been in tbh. so can't really say anyone im affraid Sad

What is your current guild and why are you planning to leave? im currently in dark secrets which i joined about a week ago. and unfortunatly im wanting to do hard modes on a regular basis and some people here wipe once or twice then wanna switch to easy modes. i know it's only been a week but im serious about raiding and want to do the hard things blizz throw at us.

What previous guilds have you been in? only dark secrets on anachronos. i lvl'd my druid on terenas where all my alliance chars are and only 2 good horde guilds on there was doing the hard stuff and they didn't need druids so i looked around at some other pve realms and chose this one.

If this is a cross-realm application, should you be accepted for trial, how soon can you transfer here? n/a

Do you currently have any pending application with any other guild? If yes, who with? none at all. i applied to cold logic before joining dark secrets but they didn't need a resto druid at that time

Do you have any high level alt characters? Have you raided with them before? all my alliance chars i've raidied with

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of the game? music and cricket(mainly wow tho)

Any other addons which you feel should be mentioned? clique

If possible, please try to provide a screenshot of your UI in a raiding setting. If you aren't able to get one from inside a raid, a screenshot of it from a battleground will suffice. [Accepted] Beerform (resto/feral) druid app WoWScrnShot_072509_223713 this is in av as you can probably tell. appart from what you see i have normal blizz buff's debuffs and mini map that i use.

With blizzard adding optional "hard-modes" to future encounters, we're intending to beat the more difficult version of each fight, not just the basic version. Are you prepared to spend the time re-learning encounters to beat them in their hardest incarnations? yes..naxx was a joke and even the ulduar boss's on normal aint that difficult. hard modes is where the fun is at and if it means wiping all night or more than im all in for that if it means killing it.

Are you prepared to sit out if an encounter requires a certain raid composition for which you are not ideal? yes progress > selfishness i'll get a go eventually

How do you fill your playing time when not raiding? dailies grinding rep earning gold and hanging around dalarn. also do WG and bg to try to keep up to date with decent ish pvp gear too

Raiding's not cheap. Flasks, potions, buff food, and of course repairs all cost money and time, and so does keeping your gear gemmed and chanted properly. Are you able to support your raiding expenses? What consumables do you typically use? earning gold is easy. typical flasks Sp flask and 46 SP food..ofc fish feat does that too but i always have my own cos being supplied food buff's shouldn't be expected

Why have you chosen your particular spec/class? How familiar are you with your class' other specs? Would you be willing to respec if the raid required it? Do you have dual-spec? well..i've not played druid for that long but i know whats needed from me as a healer and raider. im currently dual specced feral as o/s and focused mainly on tank gear but collecting other gear and respeccing is not a problem.

Do you use external resources (such as 3rd party forums, spreadsheets, simulations) to research your class and spec? Give examples if so. can usualy figure out whats best on my own..but if i ever get stuck or need to see what everyone else is doing i use elitist jerks and listen to what others are saying too

What professions have you chosen on your raiding character? How do they benefit you in raids? l/w skinning-LW for the wrist patch's which suit a hybrid class and the crit from the skinning again suits all 4 of the roles i can fill.

Please provide a recent combat log parse (e.g. WWS, WMO, WoL) of your character in a raid environment if you have access to one. unfortunatly thats something i've never had access too.

Any additional things you'd like to add? http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Terenas&n=Terrana this is a link to my alliance char that i have the hard mode exp on. also have terragnum and eclipsion in that same guild too. lock/dk my warrior with hand of adal title is called nadnerb and also have shammy - kerzon and mage -spellblast. they are all on the same realm terenas.

Thanks for the application. I'm sure other members of the guild will have their own questions, but this is my first one: given our raiding roster, we're very rarely hurting for tanks, and given that we're going for hardmodes usually, it's not really the case that if we were short a tank we could throw someone's off-spec in and expect the performance required without some serious gearing (and we have several dual spec tanks already). However with the variable healing requirements of the different hardmodes (e.g. from 3 healers on Hodir to 6-7 on Thorim, Freya) it's very useful to us to have healers who are able to dual spec dps, and as we're short on moonkins and heavy on melee, a balance dual spec would be highly desireable. Do you have any experience of balance at all, or know much about playing it? Is it something you'd enjoy playing?

i dont actually have any balance gear at all but collecting some caster dps gear wouldn't take too long imo. until then i'd be quite happy to sit out of encounters for the best set up. as for playing a doomkin it's just like any caster tbh. once you've got the rotation sorted the rest pretty much looks after it's self. better gear comes eventually. and yes i would enjoy playing it tbh..like you say i've been a tank for pretty much most of my raiding life so being a dps as offspec would be a nice no stress change:-). i do pug most if not all wrath raids and since i go as resto/feral getting boomkin gear hasn't really been a prio...but i have all os and naxx's to go to this reset so could respec in my resto gear and prolly pick some half decent gear up. hope that's enough info on that for you.

Hi Beerform,

I had a look at your resto build (and gear) and I have a couple of questions.

I wont say too much about the gear as lack of drops etc have a big part to play, but I would like to comment about the itemised MP5 and spirit trinkets. Do you have alternate pieces that do not promote mana regen. The reason I ask is Vezax.

Your talent choices are a little puzzling as from gear itemised for crit and talents/glyphs would make me think that you are quite heavy on nourish in a raid. Without a WOL report I cant confirm that though. Given that my deductions about that are correct, why did you pass up on Natures Grace for faster nourishes.

Also could you take me through your choice for revitalise. I just want to understand more about how you heal and reasons behind your spec etc.

Cheers

yeah your right about the nourish in raids..i tend to use that mainly but wild growth still tops my healing meter with rejuv second and nourish 3rd. as for the current spec it's not an optimal pve raid spec it's just a spec that i use when not raiding. my full pve raid spec would of course have the 3 points for the haste when nourish crits and revitalise/imp barkskin wouldn't be in the spec. like you say tranquil spirit and natures grace are main prio for the optimal raid spec. i will spec it after this message is posted anyway as i am in ulduar 25 tonight. i did have the life bloom glyph instead of the nourish a bit back but im kinda used to hotting tanks up and raidhealing also..so with full hots up on any given tank my nourish heals for a lot more. as for my trinkets it's all been down to shit luck. i don't really have 5k to spend right now on any greatness decks so i've taken what i can tbh. take into account that i've only got 15 days played at 80 atm and i play a lot. i think i've had 6 resets of raids to collect gear so it's not come very fast Sad i've only been in 10 man uld twice and 25 man twice including this reset. im all open for suggestions and any other comments about my gear spec and like i say it's all something that can be fixed easily. sorry for the wall of text :p hope thats a good enough explanation
