What framerate do you generally play at in 25 man raids? Is your PC and internet connection reliable? What's your average latency to the game servers during evenings?

My latency averages around 100 and I usually get around 40-60 FPS in raids, never seems to lag. My connection is very stable and I very rarely disconnect.

Why are you applying to Bloodpack?
I am hoping to play alongside members of a similar skill level and be able to progress through the harder content available in Wotlk. I have a friend in your guild that has been with you for around a year and since TBC he has given me positive feedback all the time. I once played in Bloodpack on my mage back in TBC but I only came to a few raids as I was a social and joined TBC a little late, the characters name was Nysk. I am hoping to have a successful app and have a chance to trial and prove myself or at least learn some things along the way.

Have you played with anyone in Bloodpack before, who might vouch for you?
Brodnbitter, my rl friend for a long time now.
I also played on Nysk so a few of you may remember me, I only came to a few raids.

What is your current guild and why are you planning to leave?
I currently have no guild on the server as I left my ex guild Clash of the Titans. The main reason I left the guild was because none of the raids were structured and a decent example was after one attempt at 25 man ulduar we decided to do 10 man instead which was pretty disappointing as its worth a try per lockout period, even if it’s just the first few bosses. I am very passionate about progressing into further content.

No pending applications.

Do you have any high level alt characters? Have you raided with them before?
I have an alt mage at level 74, he was my main in TBC and I went to MH on him a few times with Bloodpack but other than that he raided Kara/ZA and Gruul as I was fairly late in joining TBC and it was difficult to find a good guild.

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of the game?
I am currently on leave from college as I am going into my second year on my IT Practitioner course and I have a lot of spare time on my hands...
I enjoy mountain biking a lot recently, mainly cross-country and downhill and I also play a few other games online, mostly fps such as bf2, bfheroes, tf2 and fear2 at the moment.

With blizzard adding optional "hard-modes" to future encounters, we're intending to beat the more difficult version of each fight, not just the basic version. Are you prepared to spend the time re-learning encounters to beat them in their hardest incarnations?
Absolutely, this is one of the reasons I am applying to Bloodpack.

Are you prepared to sit out if an encounter requires a certain raid composition for which you are not ideal?
Sure, I don’t mind sitting out of raids if someone else would benefit themselves or the raid more than I would.

How do you fill your playing time when not raiding?
As mentioned in my hobbies I play other games, chat to friends on Skype and go mountain biking. I occasionally enjoy a drink too and go round town now and again with college mates.

Raiding's not cheap. Flasks, potions, buff food, and of course repairs all cost money and time, and so does keeping your gear gemmed and chanted properly. Are you able to support your raiding expenses? What consumables do you typically use?
I am used to having to provide the above for myself and when I come to raid I often bring:
Flask of the Frost Wyrm
Dalaran Clam Chowder or other buff food
Many Runic Mana potions

I buy my raid goods as soon as possible in order to avoid an empty AH before raid. Previously it has been difficult to get my guildies to help make raid consumables.

Why have you chosen your particular spec/class? How familiar are you with your class' other specs? Would you be willing to respec if the raid required it? Do you have dual-spec?

I am willing to respec to meet the guilds needs.

I have Duel spec Holy/Prot
Holy
I am familiar with both specs but mainly holy as I have been holy on and off all the time and since 80. I enjoy raiding as my current Holy spec as it allows me to prevent wipes with the use of divine sacrifice and it also boosts my ss to 1 minute which is more beneficial to me in my eyes as going ret for the crit, especially with the nerf from crit regen in the upcoming patch. My knowledge of Holy tells me that I will be using different gear/gems in the future by balancing more mp5 gear with my current crit/haste setup. I try to keep on track of my class by reading up on patch notes/websites and asking other decent paladins their views and I am happy to receive any constructive criticism.

Prot
I used to tank the odd instance as I was low level and I have always had a passion for tanking. I am also looking forward to the patch for this spec in some ways. My prot gear isn't the best it could be but I haven’t been so successful in gearing it at the moment and would hope for that to change in the future. I have tanked voa25/10, os10/25, nax10 and some 25 nax. At the moment I find tanking as prot slightly more fun than healing as it gives me more to do and more of a challenge in some cases, plus there’s lots of buttons to press 9/6/9...

Do you use external resources (such as 3rd party forums, spreadsheets, simulations) to research your class and spec? Give examples if so.

I use websites such as the wow patch notes websites, mmo-champion, armory and elitistjerks.

What professions have you chosen on your raiding character? How do they benefit you in raids?

Enchanting 400~

I have very recently levelled enchanting and jewelcrafting and I have been pretty selfish in the fact that I am levelling them to around 400 only at the moment. I am doing this because it is when you gain the bop benefits to your character such as my stam/spellpower on my rings and prismatic gems. I admit my JC isn’t quite up to scratch but I will improve this as I continue to do my daily quests.

Please provide a recent combat log parse (e.g. WWS, WMO, WoL) of your character in a raid environment if you have access to one.

Any additional things you'd like to add?

I am almost exalted with hodir for the shoulder enchant and I’m about 1/4 off getting it, should be there soon. Currently using the pvp chant for my healing set and blue hodir chant for my tank set.

If theres anything I have not covered let me know and ill reply promptly.

Vouch, been my friend for a very long time and I know that he know's both aspects (holy and prot) very well and has had a lot of practice with both of them be it in raids or heroics.

Skilled player and it would be very nice to have him in the guild as I think that it would benefit

Hi Sorenei, just a couple of things I'd like to point out from your otherwise great application:

1. Just had a look at your gems on Armoury and tbh you need to get rid of the mp5 gems and just socket pure intellect. Yes the changes in 3.2 will affect MP5 a great deal, but 3.2 isn't likely to hit for at least another couple of months. All you need to do is meet the meta socket requirements, and just gem int

2. Food buff wise the guild provides Fish Feasts for all raids but if you ever have to use your own buff foods in raids, Firecracker Salmon is the best.

3. Gear - This is just me being nit picky, but:

Cloak - there is a better haste enchant that you can put on it
Chest - +10 stats > +8 stats
Bracers - Once you've regemmed for Intellect you can change your chant to Spellpower

Overall though, apart from the things I've mentioned, I can't see anything that's to much cause for concern.

Not seen that UI screenshot yet, but we're going to go ahead and give you a trial. Please whisper me in game for an invite.

I forgot to add a parse too but you have that from the raid I did, just noticed that I messed up on a beam at Kologarn which is really nooby.
Heres the screensbut of my UI but im going to update it in the next few days as im not too confident with using grid, ill learn. My ui as you can see is pretty standard. I also use recount and remove decurse when using grid. Recount is hidden just above the threat to toggle, not really neccesary just helps me compare how other classes of the same type are healing with the percentage details.

Things I'm adjusting is I will hopefully get Kareha to help me out with some buff timer addons so I know when my cds are back more efficiently etc and also I will try and improve my healing through Grid or another addon after I try them out. I have grid installed just disabled at the moment as I'm not used to it too much and I dont like a few features on it.

Please spare me some time ingame if you have it Kareha, i'll try ask you about it sometime or research into them more by myself.
I will be posting a more updated one as I improve my ui as it improves.
